New Delhi:Pointing towards the changing world order, India's permanent representative at the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin made a powerful representation for reforms at the security council.
Speaking at the 74th United Nations General Assembly session on the question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the security council asserted that obsolescent global structure is not fit to address challenges and security of 21st century.
He even likened the reform process of the United Nations Security Council to a Greek tragedy enacted every year. Reminding the world that 11 years have passed since negotiations for has started but nothing concrete has been attained so far.
