New Delhi: The yesteryear heartthrob Dharmendra, who joined people criticising his wife and actoress Hema Malini for participating in a cleanliness drive at Parliament last week, said on Wednesday that he would "never speak about broom".
Dharmendra, on being asked by people on a social media platform, had said that the 'dream girl' Hema Malini never picked up a broom to clean the house, and that she looked 'anari' (inexperienced) with it even in films.
The Sholey actor, however, mentioned that the drive carried out on Saturday last had a message, and requested people to follow it.
"Ek paigam toh hai. Keep your Country Clean. Hema ke paigam par amal karo. My humble request to you all, feel from your soul for our New India," he tweeted, asking people to keep the country clean.
He said people should praise the noble message of cleanliness propagated by his wife and try to imbibe it in their lives.
