Tarigami said that when Jammu and Kashmir's special status was removed and the government's rule was imposed there, the Centre did not even try to discuss the issue with the people and the leaders in the Parliament. The judgement was forced on the people of the valley, he added. "The people of Kashmir, Leh, Kargil and Jammu want their respect and special status back. The leaders may discuss this with the PM," he stated.
