Nitin Gadkari said that the government believes in working with the private sector for the economic growth of the country. He also batted for the upgradation of technology in the interest of the nation.

New Delhi: Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highway, Nitin Gadkari addressed the media after attending the National Council Meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry. He asserted that the government will respond to all the queries of industrialists and work together with them.

"We are an investment-friendly government. We have no plans to shut down any industry, but rather we are here to extend help to them," he said.

Gadkari also affirmed that no decisions will be made for the growth of private sectors and hindrances shall be removed.

"It is important for industries to upgrade their technology with time. It is to reduce pollution and work in the interest of the nation," he added.

Many companies from the auto industry have already voiced their concerns over the government's draft proposal to ban all two-wheeler vehicles below 150 cc by 2025 and replace them with electric two-wheelers.
