ETV Bharat impact: In a first, DU issues exam guidelines in English and Hindi

After the issue was taken up by ETV Bharat, DU Dean, Examination Professor, DS Rawat said that the problems faced by the students regarding the English language by the University of Delhi were taken into consideration and that's why more than 1.5 lakh students received the guidelines related to the examination simultaneously in both Hindi and English through bulk message.

New Delhi:The Delhi University (DU) is conducting online open book examination for students, however, all the guidelines issued were in English which some students were not able to understand. ETV Bharat raised this issue faced by students and as a result, DU has for the first time now sent all the guidelines related to the examination in both English and Hindi.

Though exams are being conducted, the students were still unclear about many examination related points.

In this regard, during a conversation with ETV Bharat, Dr Kanwaljit Singh, the Nodal Officer of NCWEB of Ramanujan College affiliated to DU, told that students of every level and every state come to study in DU. In such a situation, due to the issue of guidelines in English only, many students face difficulty in understanding it. In such a situation, he suggested that the University should also issue guidelines in Hindi.

He added that this is the first time in the history of DU, the directions have been sent in English as well as Hindi.
