DU gets lakhs of applications for its under/post graduate courses

Delhi University, where admission process for the academic session of 2020-21 was delayed because of coronavirus pandemic, has witnessed a usual rush of admission seekers. Lakhs of students have applied using online facility and many more are expected to do so in the due course of time as July 18 has been fixed as the last date.

New Delhi: In the on-going admission process of the Delhi University, as many as 3,44,724 students have applied for the undergraduate and 1,37,274 scholars for the post graduate courses till date.

The admission process for the academic session of 2020-21 is being carried out through online facilities because of the coronavirus pandemic, official sources said.

Over one lakh applicants have already paid their registration fee, they said.

Out of the total admission applications, thousands of students have applied under various categories, including OBC, SC/ST, EWS and others.

The last date for applying for admission in the university is July 18, 2020.
