New Delhi: With rising numbers of coronavirus infected people in India, where almost a lakh new cases are being reported on a daily basis, hundreds of doctors have also got infected and a number of them have even lost their lives.
According to an estimate, over 400 doctors, who were busy treating coronavirus patients, have lost their lives.
Experts have expressed concern over the scenario and said it was not a good sign as a country like India already lacks them.
'Doctors dying, virus spreading to newer areas not good for India' Speaking to ETV Bharat here, Doctor Anil Bansal expressed concern over the situation and said the highly contagious disease spreading to villages of the country is also a great sign of concern as we don't have required medical facilities in those areas.
He said the trend of doctors losing lives and the virus getting spread to newer areas is not good for the country and everything possible to deal with it should be done by all concerned.
Doctor Bansal said over 90 percent of the doctors and other medical staffers tend to get infected as they spend lots of time with the patients.
