New Delhi: At least six persons of a family were arrested by Delhi police for alleged honour killing a 25 -year-old woman in east Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar on Saturday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Sheetal Chaudhary, a resident of New Ashok Nagar.
The accused persons have been identified as the deceased's mother, Suman, father, Ravindra, two uncles Sanjay and Om Prakash, uncle's son Parvesh, and son-in-law Ankit.
According to the police, the accused persons disposed of the body in Aligarh, around 80 km from Delhi. The body was found by UP police on January 30.
According to sources, Sheetal was in love with one Ankit Bhati, who lives in the same neighbourhood. They were in a relationship for the past three years and had got married at Arya Samaj temple in October 2019.
