New Delhi: The special squad of Delhi police busted an alleged terror module and arrested three men said to be associated with the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) from different places of Delhi and Punjab.
The accused have been identified as Mohinder Pal Singh (29), a resident of Delhi; Gurtej Singh (41), a resident of Punjab; and Lovepreet (21), a resident of Haryana.
Police have taken all the three arrested with them as all three have cases under the Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act registered against them. Three pistols and seven live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Three phones with many "incriminating" videos and photographs related to the Khalistan Movement were also recovered from them.
Delhi Police Special Cell nabs three suspects linked to Khalistan Liberation Front Acting on reliable inputs, a police team led by ACP Jaswir Singh carried out raids and apprehended the three accused persons. Cops first had a breakthrough on June 15, when Mohinder was arrested with firearms and propaganda material. He is a resident of Baramulla, J&K.
Following his interrogation, Lovepreet and Gurtez were arrested from Mansa in Punjab today. The arrested persons have disclosed their links with the Khalistan Liberation Force leaders settled abroad and revealed their plans to commit targeted killings on instructions from Khalistani militant sponsored by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), police sources said.
They were planning to carry out terror strike and also targeted killings. Their main targets include a Ram Raheem supporter and a Shiv Sena leader from Amritsar, police added.
