New Delhi: Even as the Central and the city governments are yet to decide on the movement of public transport after May 17, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on Friday planned for the SOPs with contactless ticketing in the buses and Metro.
In a series of tweets, Gahlot said that he discussed SOPs for safe opening of Delhi Metro and buses with officials of the Delhi Transport Department, DTC and Metro among others.
"If the central government allows, Delhi is confident of running public transport," he said.
Gahlot said that social distancing, contactless ticketing and disinfection will be the three pillars of the strategy to run public transport safely.
