New Delhi:Delhi’s Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia presented the city state’s annual budget of Rs 69,000 crore rupees on Tuesday. This was the first paperless budget of Delhi. The theme of this e-budget was patriotism. Free corona vaccination to all was also announced in the budget. An allocation of Rs 50 crore has also been made for this purpose. An announcement of hoisting 500 tricolours in Delhi was also made. Delhi Finance Minister Manish Sisodia said that this time the expenditure on the schemes for the people will be 55 per cent of the budget while the government expenditure will be 45 per cent.
KEJRIWAL GOVT’S DECLARATION FOR ‘PATRIOTISM’
Patriotic programmes will start in Delhi from March 12, in which the vision for the future will be shown. Rs 10 crore has been released to showcase the programs related to the life of Bhagat Singh. Apart from this, an allocation of Rs 10 crore was also provisioned for the programs that will be held in the name of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. Like the city’s iconic Connaught Place, tricolours will now be placed at 500 locations in Delhi. Also, a time slot will now be dedicated when the students will read about patriotism in Delhi schools. We will prepare every person as a staunch patriot so that they follow the rules, said Finance Minister Manish Sisodia.
BIGGEST PART OF THE BUDGET GOES TO EDUCATION
The Delhi government has made a provision of more than Rs 16 thousand crores in the budget for education. With this, the English speaking course will be made available to the children. Also, about 100 schools of excellence will be built in Delhi in which classes from ninth to twelfth class will be included. Apart from this, a new course will be introduced from nursery to Class VIII in Delhi. The national capital will have its Board of School Education. Instead of rote, the children from the primary class will be made to focus on understanding the subject. Children of Class 11 and 12 will be encouraged for business ideas. If those whose ideas are good, they will be asked to prepare a plan by giving Rs 2000 as an incentive. Simultaneously, a virtual module of schooling will also be started in Delhi.

HEALTH GETS BIGGEST SHARE AFTER EDUCATION
For health, the Kejriwal government has made a provision of 14 per cent of the budget, that is, Rs 9 thousand 934 crore. The Delhi government has made a provision of Rs 50 crores for free vaccination for the people of Delhi. Every day 45 thousand vaccines are being given to people. Soon this capacity will reach 60 thousand. People of Delhi will continue to get the vaccine free of cost even in government hospitals. The scheme has been named ‘Aam Aadmi Free Covid Scheme.’ Mahila Mohalla Clinic will be started in Delhi next year in which specialist doctors of diseases related to women will be posted. Initially, 100 such clinics will be opened, which will be extended later. Every citizen of Delhi will be given a health card.
PREPARATIONS FOR ORGANIZING OLYMPIC GAMES IN DELHI
Delhi government wants to organize the Olympic Games in Delhi. Accordingly, sports facilities will be prepared in the next 25 years. Delhi will be prepared for the Olympic Games to be held in the year 2048.
BEAUTIFICATION OF 500 KM ROADS, CCTV CAMERAS OF RS 200 CRORES
A provision of Rs 9394 crore has been made for the Transport Department. In this, a provision of Rs 200 crores has been made for CCTV cameras. Out of this, a provision of Rs 500 crore has been made for the beautification of 500 km of roads. In the budget, the focus is on increasing the number of electric vehicles to 25 per cent of the number of new vehicles in Delhi by 2024. Electric charging stations will be built at 500 places in Delhi. Every three-km in the state will have a charging station. There is a preparation to set up an e-charging station at a distance. One thousand electric buses are being bought. There has been an increase of about 1600 buses in a year. The Delhi Metro will soon become the world’s largest metro. Many phases are still being worked out, which will be completed soon.
SAHELI COORDINATION CENTRE WILL BE OPENED IN DELHI
A provision of Rs 4750 crore has been made for social welfare, women and child development, Scheduled Castes and Tribes. An announcement of the creation of the coordination centre called Saheli coordination centre. For this, the assistance of Anganwadi will be taken. The 4-hour centre will run and thereafter work for local women.

DELHI WILL LOOK LIKE SINGAPORE
Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia said that by 2047, the Delhi government has set a target to increase the people of Delhi’s per capita income to the level of that of the people of Singapore. Finance Minister Sisodia said that to achieve the target, we have to increase 16 times the per capita income of the people of Delhi. Manish Sisodia said that thanks to the Kejriwal model of good governance, the people are constantly saving on electricity and water bills. This is increasing their per capita income and it will be seen in the next census. The per capita income in Singapore is around 66 thousand US dollars. If this income is to be increased in Delhi, then the present income will have to increase by more than 16 times. Sisodia said: “We know that for this, per capita income in Delhi will have to increase by about 16 times.” He said this is a difficult goal but we will accomplish it too.
CM’S STATEMENT ON THE BUDGET
After the presentation of the budget, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference. Chief Minister Kejriwal said that despite the difficult conditions, the Delhi government has presented a great budget and it has taken care of all sections of the society.
STATEMENT OF OPPOSITION
This year’s budget of Delhi Government, Delhi BJP State unit President Adesh Gupta described, is a bundle of lies. Attacking the government, Gupta said that this government only makes promises. Gupta further said that bypassing the present, the government is making promises in the Budget, which will be fulfilled by 2047, which is very embarrassing. He said that the government has said only good things on every front. Gupta said that the budget of the Delhi Government has not met the expectations of Delhi. He said that today Delhi’s biggest need is to get rid of pollution, increase the number of buses and education, where the government has not done any work nor has made any such big announcements.
Leader of Opposition Rambir Singh Bidhuri said that the Kejriwal government has been presenting the budget for six years. Many promises were made but not even one was fulfilled. He said that 69 thousand crore rupees will be paid for corruption, publicity and subsidy in this budget. He even said that there is no basic facility in Delhi and Chief Minister Kejriwal is talking about making Delhi a world-class city. He has been talking about this for the last six years.
