New Delhi: Delhi Government has prepared an action plan to deal with the annual pollution problem during winters, official sources said. The plan, under which several measures at various levels are being taken, is to be implemented from September one, they added.
Wazirpur, Rohini, RK Puram, Okhla, Vivek Vihar Punjabi Bagh, Mayapuri, Narela and Mundaka are among the 13 points that have been identified as the most polluted areas in the capital city.

All municipal corporations have also been asked to work together to keep the city clean and pollution free, the sources added.

Last month, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) had directed all the State Pollution Control Boards and Pollution Control Committees to prepare action plans for the restoration of the environment and implementation of District Environment Plans in coordination with the Central Pollution Control Board.
Delhi faces severe pollution problems during winters when schools are closed and traffic is regulated with even-odd scheme. Stubble burning in neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab has also been termed as one of the reasons for pollution during the season.
