Delhi govt schools lack basic amenities: Ramesh Bidhuri

Slamming the AAP government over its assertions on revolutionising education in Delhi, South Delhi BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri said that AAP has made only tall claims and the government schools in Delhi lack basic amenities.

New Delhi:Seeking to corner the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over its assertions on revolutionising education in Delhi, all the seven BJP MPs from the national capital visited government schools in the city and claimed a lack of basic amenities there.

South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri visited a government school in Tughlakabad with a group of journalists to expose the claims Delhi government and shown the woeful condition of the school.

Speaking to media, Bidhuri said, "AAP kept on making tall claims that it has revolutionised and made the Delhi government schools a world-class. But the truth is for everyone to see. The infrastructure is in shambles and toilets of the school are in pathetic condition."

He further said that people of Delhi need to know the actual truth of the government schools.

"Delhi has as many as 1000 government schools, out of which only 79 schools have a principal. Around 20,000 ad-hoc teachers were to be made permanent but the Kejriwal-led government did nothing in this regard," claimed Bidhuri.

It is to be noted that 2020 Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 8, results for which will be announced on February 11.

In 2015 assembly polls, the Aam Aadmi Party had registered a landslide victory by winning 67 out of a total of 70 seats in the national capital.
