New Delhi: In view of the ever-increasing havoc of the Covid-19 pandemic in the capital, the Delhi government's health department has issued an order for doctors and paramedical staff, who are on Covid duty, to arrange their accommodation in hotels.
In its order, the health ministry has stated that the facilities which were given to the doctors during the first wave of the pandemic will be resumed. The doctors on covid duty will be accommodated in 5-star hotels, the nursing and the paramedical staff will stay in general hotels.
Whereas the supporting staff of the Covid hospitals will be accommodated with Dharamshalas, and all the workers dedicated to any Covid facility will be given separate rooms to stay. Hospitals connected to Covid Care Centers will pay for this through DSHM's ECRF Fund or Delhi Government Budget. An order has been issued to all the district magistrates regarding this.
The Delhi government has attached four big hotels with the hospital for the government officials and their families.
In its order, the Health Department of Delhi Government has said that arrangements should be made in Hotel Ginger, 70 rooms of Vivek Vihar, Hotel Park Plaza, 50 rooms of Shahdara, and 50 rooms of Hotel Leela Ambience, CBD Ground. These three hotels will be connected to the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital of the Delhi Government.
