New Delhi:A police constable posted at Sabzi Mandi in the northern district of Delhi has been dismissed from his post on October 27 for posting a message against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The constable has been identified as Manish Meena.

While supporting the farmer's protest, the constable on October 9, posted an objectionable comment against the Prime Minister and the Home Minister through his Facebook and Twitter accounts. He wrote, "The anti-farmer parties have no right to remain in power. When they failed to suppress the farmers' movement, they are now crushing the farmers. Brothers, they are a history-sheeter, they will run a car over human."

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana received a complaint against the constable. After that, he handed over the investigation to Anita Rai, Additional DCP of North District. While investigating the matter, Anita found the allegations against the constable true and dismissed him from the police department on October 27.

However, the hapless constable has deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts. The officers of Delhi Police are refraining from speaking anything related to this matter. District DCP Sagar Singh Kalsi said, "This is an internal matter of the department."
