New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he will be visiting Punjab on Monday. Kejriwal is expected to hold a meeting with party leaders and review the election preparations. "Punjab wants to change. The only hope is the Aam Aadmi Party. See you tomorrow at Amritsar," Kejriwal tweeted.
This will be Kejriwal's second visit to Punjab's Amritsar ahead of the assembly polls in 2022. Earlier, he visited Punjab's Moga in March 2021, where he addressed the Kisan Mahapanchayat and tried to reach out to the Punjab public over issues related to farming. After Delhi, Punjab is the only state where Aam Aadmi Party is in the strongest position. Significantly, in the 2017 assembly elections, the party won the place of the main opposition party hereby winning 20 seats.
