New Delhi: Death toll in violence that erupted in North east Delhi climbed to 48 after one more person succumbed to injuries at the Guru Teg Bahadur hospital here on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Aaqib (18), he was admitted to GTB hospital on February 24 following a head injury during clashes in Bhajanpura area of North East Delhi.
The Delhi Police has registered 369 FIRs and arrested or detained 1,284 persons in connection with the northeast Delhi violence, a senior officer said on Monday.
Delhi Police also issued 16 helpline numbers for residents of different parts in the national capital to verify any report or rumour of violence in the city.
