New Delhi: The Communist Party of India has written to the election commission demanding action against BJP President Amit Shah for violating the model code of conduct as he referred to the Indian Army as 'Narendra Modi's army' recently. In a conversation with ETV Bharat, CPI leader Dinesh Varshney said, "The election commission has clearly said that political parties are not allowed to use either the Balakot strike or any other strike during the election campaign as it tantamounts to bypassing the integrity of the Armed Forces towards the nation."
He further added, "Amit Shah saying that Modiji sent his Air Force for the Balakot strikes is a violation of the Model code of conduct and action must be taken by the Election commission against him." "The armed forces do not belong to one political party. Previously in the Churu elections, Modiji used photographs of the Pulwama martyrs at the backdrop of the rally which is highly condemnable as one should not politicise the armed forces for their petty political gains, he said."
