New Delhi:As Congress party released its Manifesto on Tuesday, National secretary of Communist Party of India slammed the Congress saying that the manifesto was all talk and did not have much substance in it.
CPI National secretary K Narayana "The Congress party is making tall claims in the manifesto but how much of it is implemented is to be seen. They make these claims every time and they have made them in the past but none of that has been turned into action."

Slamming the Congress party further, Narayana said, "Till now they have not implemented the Swaminathan Commission report, even if they just do that a lot of problems with the farmers should be addressed but instead they are going for these all airial claims".
On the Communist Party of India being agitated on Congress president Rahul Gandhi for contesting from Wanayad in Kerala, Narayana said that the Congress supremo's decision is definitely hampering the opposition Unity.

"When all the opposition parties talked about standing together and uniting against communal and fastest region of the BJP commander, why does Rahul Gandhi need to fight from a place which is already a seat of CPI and is a secular seat? We are definitely sure of defeating Rahul Gandhi now. He could have contested from Karnataka or some other places if you wanted to contest from South but why did he choose our CPI seat? Now we will have to defeat him in Kerala", said Narayana.
Earlier a left leader had also called Rahul Gandhi's entry into Lok Sabha from Kerala as "Pappu Strike".
