Congress, RJD have bright prospects in Delhi: Virender Rathore

"Congress, which has entered in an electoral alliance with the RJD would do well in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The AAP's anti-incumbency wave is working against it as the ruling party failed to perform well during its tenure," said Congress leader, Virender Rathore.

New Delhi: Congress candidates, who have filed their nomination papers for the Delhi Assembly elections, are working hard to ensure their win and pre-poll alliance with the RJD has brightened the prospects for both the parties, said Virender Rathore, secretary, All India Congress Committee (AICC), in-charge, Bihar.

Speaking to ETV Bharat here, Rathore said that alliance with the RJD, which would contest on four assembly seats, will certainly help both the parties as there are lots of people from eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Delhi.

The Congress leader also criticized the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying the party has failed to provide good administration to the people of the national capital.

"There is an anti-incumbency in the people as the AAP government did not pay attention to the there local concerned issues concerning. Kejariwal lead government just tried to befool the people of Delhi," he said.

"RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and senior leaders of the Congress would campaign in the polls," he added.

On being asked if Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi would campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections, he said: "if need be, yes".
