New Delhi: The Congress on Friday held an important meeting to discuss the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. The meeting, held through video conferencing, was attended by Bihar Congress in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil, Ajay Kapoor and former party president Rahul Gandhi with many others.

According to the sources, the meeting, which went on for two hours, discussed poll preparedness of the Mahagathbandhan and the number of seats that the Congress should contest on.

Rahul Gandhi suggested that the issues, which the present government failed to address, should be raised among the public.

It was learnt that the grand old party wants to fight elections on 70 out of the total assembly 243 seats.

Issues like who would be the CM candidate in case Tejashwi Yadav's name was not approved by the alliance and that the Congress being the second-largest must put forward the name of its leader for the post were discussed.
