New Delhi: Stating that there is an "oxygen emergency" in Bihar amid the second wave of COVID-19, Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan on Tuesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to allocate at least 15 oxygen plants to Bihar.
Earlier, the Centre cleared the allocation of funds for the installation of 551 dedicated Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) medical oxygen generation plants to be set up inside public health facilities across the country.

This comes after PM Modi's direction to boost the availability of oxygen to hospitals amid a surge in Covid cases in the country as India battles an oxygen crisis.
