New Delhi: Chirag Paswan's troubles are far from over. Now the LJP leader may have to vacate the government bungalow at 12 Janpath. This bungalow was allotted to Ram Vilas Paswan when he became the Union Minister in 1990. Ram Villas Paswan died in October 2020. The Paswan family has been living in this bungalow for almost 30 years.
This government bungalow belongs to the Ministry of Urban Affairs of the Central Government. This is a bungalow assigned for a Union minister or at least a five-time MP. Chirag has become an MP for the second time. He is neither a union minister nor a 5-time MP. Therefore, he may have to vacate his bungalow. Ram Vilas Paswan lost the election from Hajipur in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, following that he was asked to vacate this bungalow, but at that time RJD supremo, Lalu Prasad Yadav nominated him to the Rajya Sabha, due to which his bungalow remained with the Paswan family. However, the leaders of the Chirag Paswan faction believe that relations with the BJP have deteriorated, so this bungalow may have to be vacated, so they are mentally ready for it.
