New Delhi: In a bid to make the digital world much easier for the visually impaired people, IIT Delhi has launched a new range of braille laptops on Wednesday. The product christened as DotBook is touted to be the country's first braille laptop and have seen the light after five years of hard work and research.
IIT Delhi's Professor Balakrishnan said, "Keeping in mind issues such as social inclusiveness, education and employment, the DotBook will definitely usher in positive change among the community of visually impaired people."
He further said that apart from IIT Delhi, these laptops have been prepared in collaboration with Critical Solutions (Noida), Phoenix Medical System (Chennai) and Saksham & Wellcome Trust (Delhi).
