Bihar Congress screening committee meeting held in New Delhi

The Lok Sabha candidates selection exercise of Bihar Congress for forthcoming LS polls has entered the final stage with the screening committee meeting held at New Delhi on Sunday.

New Delhi: A screening committee meeting of Bihar Congress was held at New Delhi on Sunday.

The meeting, aimed at selecting the Lok Sabha candidates of Bihar Congress for the upcoming polls, was held at the residence of general secretary of Bihar Congress Committee KC Venugopal.

The shortlisted names of probable candidates have been discussed in the meeting, and then submitted to party's central election committee for approval.

Earlier, the grand alliance in Bihar announced a seat-sharing agreement, under which Congress will contest on 9 seats while rest will be shared by other parties.

Bihar Congress state president Madan Mohan Jha said " The committee will soon finalise the names of its candidates."
