New Delhi: In view of the security situation, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has closed both the entry and exit gates of Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Metro Station amid the ongoing Bharat Bandh on Monday.

Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Metro Station is near the Tikri border of Haryana where the farmer protest is going on. This metro station falls in the Green Line of the Delhi Metro network.

Meanwhile, rail and road traffic remained affected in most parts of the country as the protesting farmers have been camping on the railway tracks since morning.

Railway tracks blocked at several places

According to the information, Vande Bharat Express going from Delhi to Katra is not able to go beyond Panipat station. Railways have also cancelled two Shatabdi trains going to Punjab. Two other trains from New Delhi to Moga and Old Delhi to Pathankot have also been cancelled.

The Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway said that in view of the safety of the farmers some trains have been diverted and some trains have been cancelled. He also said that the passengers must check the train status before departure.

The trade union in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati blocked the railway track after a skirmish between the police and protestors. Meanwhile, protestors have also blocked the Bahadurgarh railway station in Haryana.
