New Delhi:As many as 15 government-run hospitals in Delhi are likely to be upgraded with improved civil and medical care infrastructure in order to boost healthcare facilities in the national capital.
The project also includes Lok Nayak Jayaprakash (LNJP) Hospital, where a "state-of-the-art" block will be constructed, said officials.
"We are seeking to boost healthcare facilities in the national capital. And, as part of a project, 15 Delhi government hospitals are to be upgraded. This will include remodelling of various buildings, increasing bed strength, augmenting medical care infrastructure, among other measures," said a top official in the Delhi health department.
Once upgraded, the improved infrastructure at these facilities, besides other upcoming hospitals, would help address the growing needs of patients, said officials.
