Raipur: Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Thursday said she has no intention of delaying the approval of Agricultural Produce Market Amendment Bill, but will look into all legal provisions.
The government of chief minister Bhupendra Baghel wants to introduce a farm Bill that would bypass all three laws passed by the Parliament.
However, Governor Uikey has not signed the Amendment Bill yet, which sparked a controversy between the governor and the state government.
Speaking to media persons, Uikey said," Everything should be done in a constructive way. We are seeking legal advice regarding the Agriculture Market Amendment Bill, which was brought by the Government of Chhattisgarh."
"As it is the matter of the Center, there should not be any kind of mutual tribulation about it. As soon as things become clear, then there should be no problem with this. For approving this bill, we need the opinion of law experts," she said.
