Bastar (Chhattisgarh): In the view of the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, schools and colleges across the country have been shut down and students are relying on online classes. However, students coming from Naxalite affected areas, tribal areas and backward areas in Jagdalpur are facing trouble due to the problem of unavailability of internet and network in these regions. But, Bhatpal Panchayat of Bastar has found a solution to this by installing loudspeakers across the village.
Since March 23, schools were closed in the state due to coronavirus infection following which education was imparted through loudspeakers. The nearby Panchayats also wish to implement this facility to help students in their areas.
Under the unique initiative, the villagers of Bhatpal Panchayat installed loudspeakers at seven places in the village with the aid of the district administration. With the help of these loudspeakers, students from all over the village attend the lectures and study.
On hearing the voice of their teachers on a loudspeaker, the students step out of their houses and reach the place of study carrying their books and notebooks.
