Dhamtari:It is said that the soul of India lives in its villages and more than 60 per cent of the population still lives in the rural India. Though the Central Government is claiming to connect the 'soul of the country' to the other parts of the country through many ambitious plans, but all in vain.
People at Barpadar village of Dhamtari district in Chhattisgarh are being forced to live their lives without the basic ailments.
The people here have been living their lives in the dark for many years as there is no electricity supply to the village. Some year ago, the village got lighten up after the electricity was supplied through solar energy. But it did not last long.
Moreover, there is no proper road to connect the village to the nearby places. The people here have to cross forests and rivers to reach the nearby town. People here have been waiting for bridge and road for many years.
