BJP is raising the issue of religious conversion in Bastar

The BJP has also accused the Bhupesh Baghel government of encouraging religious conversion. In response, the Chhattisgarh CM has said that the former CM Raman Singh should take a look at his record and show how many churches have been built in Bastar in 15 years during his tenures. The CM further added that he will take strict action if someone is being forcibly converted.

Sukma SP's letter cause the latest row

A few months ago, the issue of religious conversion gained momentum after the Sukma SP wrote a letter to various police station in-charges. In this letter, concerns were expressed about the conversions by Christian missionaries in the district. Based on this letter, MP Ramvichar Netam had written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking his intervention. Apart from this, BJP leaders also met the Governor and expressed their concern in this matter.
