Raipur (Chhattisgarh): The issue of religious conversion in Chhattisgarh is heating up the political landscape in the state. The state BJP leaders have been raising the issue of in the state. Taking a dig at the BJP, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the BJP is making religious conversion an issue for the elections.

The BJP has also accused the Bhupesh Baghel government of encouraging religious conversion. In response, the Chhattisgarh CM has said that the former CM Raman Singh should take a look at his record and show how many churches have been built in Bastar in 15 years during his tenures. The CM further added that he will take strict action if someone is being forcibly converted.
