Bemetara:The UP police on Sunday arrested the main accused of a petrol pump robbery case which took place at Nawagarh in Chhattisgarh's Bemetara district.
Eight cases of robbery were registered against the accused in Chhattisgarh.
According to sources, the accused after committing the crime usually went into hiding in Uttar Pradesh.
SP Prashant Thakur said, "On December 26, 2018, unknown miscreants looted in Pranay petrol pump in Nawagarh, after which the police were searching for the accused."
According to police, the culprit Sonu, a resident of Uttar Pradesh is a member of the inter-state robbery gang.
Earlier, two of his partners were arrested in Mungeli.
