Raipur (Chhattisgarh): In the wake of search operation carried out continuously by the jawans in Naxal-affected areas, Naxals are now resorting to remote-controlled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to counter the security forces.
A few days back, the security forces detected four remote-controlled IEDs with a battery-antenna configuration and petrol bombs in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, about 450 km from Raipur.
The unearth IEDs were connected to 12 Volt power batteries and with an antenna placed at the top of a nearby tree.
According to sources, the technique was used by the Maoist ultras possibly for the first time to target security forces in Bastar region.
The improvised explosive devices were found between Bodli and Malewahi villages under Barsur police station limits.
