Kanker: A villager was killed allegedly by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district on the suspicion that he was a 'police informer' on Monday.
The deceased body was found this morning on the outskirts of Duwaal village under Amabeda police station limits.
As per preliminary information, a group of ultras stormed inside the villager's house last night and took him along with them into a nearby forest. They then killed him and threw his body.
After getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and his body was brought for postmortem.
With the monsoon season started in Chhattisgarh, an expert claimed that Naxal activities can be on the rise as the security forces face many challenges during the search operations in the rainy season.
During the search operation, these Jawans have to walk through the river mountains and forests.
Naxalites also put a brake on their offensive activities and focus on a recruitment drive and spreading their propaganda during this time.
Security forces witness a lot of movement of these groups and an increased risk of attacks during the monsoon.
