Jagdalpur:As many as nine Naxals, two of them carrying cash rewards on their heads, have surrendered on Wednesday after they were barred from using mobile by the rebellion commanders.
While speaking to media after the surrender, a 34-year-old Naxal said, "I purchased a mobile for the entertainment purpose. As soon as they (Naxal commander) came to know about any device, he asked me to submit it. When I sought permission to get married, again they replied negatively. Since then I decided to surrender in front of the security forces and want to stay with my parents."
They surrendered saying they were impressed by a rehabilitation campaign being run by the police here, the official said.
