Farrukhabad (UP): A man allegedly murdered his younger brother over a property dispute in Mohalla Patel Puram under Kayamganj police station area here on Friday, the police said.
The locals informed the police about the incident after which a police team immediately reached the spot.
The police took the victim to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
"The deceased identified as Brijesh Batham died after being shot by the accused Satish Batham alias Kallu over a property dispute," SP, Dr Anil Kumar said.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the three brothers: Satish, Brijesh, and Anoop quarrelled over property distribution following which Satish shot Brijesh with a gun.
A murder case was registered and the investigation was taken up, the police said.
