Jagdalpur:In a bizarre statement that could later spark controversy, Chhattisgarh excise and industries minister Kawasi Lakhma has advised school students to grab collector and SPs by their collars to become a big politician like him.
Kawasi Lakhma courted controversy with his statement Advocating violence and hooliganism, Lakhma gave the lessons to the children while interacting with them at an event organised in Pawaras School in Sukma on the occasion of Teacher's Day.
In a video that surfaced on Monday, the five-time Congress MLA can be seen giving bizarre tips to students on how to become a big politician.
In the video, the minister can be heard saying "Bada neta banna ho to collector, SP ka collar pakdo (If you want to become a big politician, grab the collars of the collector and the SP)."
This is not for the first time when Lakhma has landed in controversy for his controversial statement. He hogged headlines days before the national elections when a video of him threatening voters with an electric shock if they vote to opposition leader went viral.
