Sukma (Chhattisgarh):At least eleven Naxalites including two women surrendered in the insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. The Naxalites surrendered under the Poona Narkom Campaign being run by Sukma Police.
The Naxalites surrendered after being influenced by the Government's Rehabilitation Policy.
"These cadres, who were active in the Naxal-infested Gadiras area, turned themselves in before the police and the security forces, expressing disappointment over the hollow Maoist ideology," Sukma Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Sharma said to a news agency.
