Chhattisgarh: Youth attempts self-immolation outside CM's house

An unemployed youth tried to commit suicide in front of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's official residence. He attempted to immolate himself when he apparently failed to meet the chief minister.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh):An unemployed youth tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire in front of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's official residence here this afternoon.

The youth- identified as Hardev from Dhamtari- attempted to immolate himself when he apparently failed to meet the Chief Minister.

The security guards deployed outside CM's house immediately tried to put out the fire.

The youth was rushed to a hospital with serious burn injuries and is undergoing treatment.

According to the preliminary information, the youth studying in class 12th was unemployed and was struggling financially.
