Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh) : The police cracked the murder of a youth in village Medha. The Dongargarh police station has identified the deceased youth as Komesh Sahu, a resident of LB Nagar. ASP Lakhan Patle said that "the whole matter is related to falsely posing as a girl and trapping the victim in love through social media. The accused cheated by posing as a girl."
During the investigation of this case, the police inspected the village and examined the CCTV footage and technical evidence. The transactions in the bank accounts of the deceased were scrutinized. During this, the police called the suspects to the police station for questioning on the basis of the information received from the informer. During the interrogation itself, the accused Devendra Sinha alias Sonu himself confessed to the crime.
The accused said that he had assumed the name of a girl called Mansi and started a friendship with the deceased Komesh Sahu on social media. For the last eight months, the accused Devendra Sinha used to chat with Komesh Sahu as Mansi. He also used to talk through WhatsApp. On May 3, Devendra called Komesh Sahu to Medha village. Komesh, who turned up in the village, waited for Mansi.
