Raipur (Chhattisgarh): As many as 22 security personnel laid down their lives for the country following an ambush by Naxal insurgents of outlawed political party CPI (Maoist).

Special Task Force personnel Shravan Kashyap was one of the martyred soldiers. Kashyap, a resident of Baniya village of Bakavand block in Chhattisgarh, has left behind a whole family — his mother, wife and 5-year-old — who are in son state of deep shock.

He was the sole breadwinner of his family. Kashyap also financially supported his elder brother and sister-in-law.

He had joined the forces in 2007 and was posted in different areas of Bastar after completing training at Durg STF Base Camp.
