Kawardha:Three members of the same family died in Kawardha's Vananchal village after a snake bit them while they were sound asleep on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Ganga Bai, Samay Lal, and Sandeep (10).
According to sources, the wife, Ganga Bai woke up in the middle of the night when she felt something moving near her legs.
When she found her son lying unconscious, she alerted her husband and realized that all three had snakebite marks on their legs.
Seeing their worsening health, the villagers immediately took them to Pandaria hospital.
After giving them first aid, the hospital referred them to the Kukadoor health centre, where they died shortly.
