Patna: Heavy rains lashed various parts of Patna on Sunday leading to waterlogging in streets and houses, including the residence of Nand kishor Yadav, Minister of Road Construction in the state government.
The situation slowed down vehicular movement in different areas.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning in several parts of Bihar in the next 48 hours. The state has now been placed under a flood alert. According to IMD, monsoon this year has covered the entire country 12 days prior to normal date.
Siwan, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar will receive heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm, lightning and squalls, according to the weather bureau.
