Patna:Ahead of the upcoming by-polls in Bihar on October 30, RJD has severed its alliance with Congress for one assembly seat. Congress stated that the two parties were in alliance due to same ideology, but now politics has overcome ideology.
Bihar Congress in-charge Bhakta Charan Das said, "the two parties were in the alliance for years because our ideology was the same. Assembly by-polls is scheduled to be held for Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan assembly seats in Bihar. Kusheshwarsthan has been a traditional Congress seat. We fought from the same seat in the last year Assembly polls."
He further stated, "we were asking for Kusheshwarsthan seat from RJD but they did not offer it. Compromising ideology, RJD broke the alliance with Congress for one seat. There is still time if RJD wants to change its mind. On both the seats, Congress will fight the by-elections alone,"
