Sharing his thoughts on the population control law, the BJP leader said that the law should be implemented in the country. Thorough discussion should be held on this. This law is needed in the country. The minister further said that this law is currently applied in the civic body in Bihar. It will take at least one year to implement this law in the Panchayats in Bihar.

The minister went on underline the fact that those with more than two children may be deprived of contesting elections in future.

The demand for the population control law is rising in the country. This law has been implemented in UP recently. Under this law in UP, if more than two children are born, there will be no chance of promotion in government jobs and about 77 governments schemes will also be denied.

However, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is not in favour of this law. According to him introducing the law won't help much. To control the population, women's awareness is required.
