Sarai (Kaimur): In a shocking incident, parents of a youth were tied to a tree and brutally thrashed by the locals after he eloped with a married woman in Sarai village of Bihar recently. The video of the incident went viral on social media on Saturday.
The video shows that his mother's hand also got fractured in the physical assault.
Parents of youth thrashed for eloping with married woman According to Ramgarh police station, Deepak Ram (name changed) was in love with a woman from the same village. However, her parents married her off to another man of their choice.
However, even after marriage, she continued to love Deepak. After few weeks of her wedding, she eloped with Deepak.
The enraged parents of the woman took the matter to the panchayat and thrashed Deepak's parents after tying them to a tree.
Further, the woman's family also asked Deepak's parents to bring back their daughter or face dire consequences.
The victims have filed an FIR against six people. Kaimur SP Delanwaj Ahmed said that the six accused, Anil Ram, Sanjay Ram, Sudarshan Ram, Birbal Ram and Dharmendra Ram, have been arrested. Further probe in the matter is underway.
