New Delhi:Amid souring Indo-Nepal relationship, the Himalayan nation has begun constructing four helipads near the international border and the disputed territory of Susta.
Reports of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) intelligence claim that near Susta's ward four, the construction for four helipads is underway out of which one helipad has already been completed. Ten acres of land has been allotted by Nepal for the project.
According to district's senior journalist, the disputed territory located on the eastern side of the Gandak river, acquired by the nation is claimed by India as a part of West Champaran district of Bihar and a part of Susta rural municipality, under West Nawalparasi District in Province No. 5 of Nepal, hence famously known as the disputed Susta territory.

Nepal has, however, claimed that the helipads are constructed only to cater to flood-affected people of the area and to help them with relief material such as food and medicines.
But, it should be noted that the disputed lowland area never get flooded and the planning for the helipads had been going on for months before construction began.
