New Delhi: Jitan Ram Manjhi, former Chief Minister of Bihar and National President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) said that the NDA government in Bihar will complete five year term. He further added that his party, HAM and the Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) will remain firmly with the NDA.
He said that RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav, who is claiming that the NDA government in Bihar will fall in two to three months, has no merit in this claim. Manjhi said that Yadav went missing from Bihar during the Covid-19 period. He further added that when Tehashwi came back to Bihar, he visited his area. "The public was angry with him and showed hi, black flags. Tejashwi got scared seeing all this. To please the public and in panic, he made a statement that the Nitish government would fall in two-three months," Manjhi said.
He added that he had held a meeting with Vikassheel Insan Party chief Mukesh Sahni a few days ago. "Mukhesh Sahni had some problems. But those problems have now been removed. He also praised Nitish Kumar for doing a very good job as Chief Minister. If any other government comes, it will not be able to do such a good job. That's why the NDA government will run for 5 years in Bihar."

Manjhi said that he met Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav recently. "I had come to greet me with courtesy and I had congratulated Lalu Ji on the phone in front of Tej Pratap. There is a good relationship but it should not take political meaning. There were speculations that I would go to the Grand Alliance, but it is not going to happen at all," he said.
The BJP JDU coalition government is running in Bihar with the support of Jitan Ram Manjhi and Mukesh Sahni. 122 seats are required to form the government in Bihar. BJP has 74, JDU has 45, Manjhi-Sahni has four MLAs. An independent MLA has also extended support to the NDA government. NDA currently has 128 MLAs. Nitish government will fall in Bihar if Manjhi and Sahni withdraw their support.

Manjhi and Sahni were said to be angry in the NDA but now it is being claimed by both parties that everything is fine now. Both Manjhi and Sahni have criticised the Bihar government many times on many issues. Both had alleged that the Bihar government does not take the opinion of allies on important decisions. Both had demanded 1-1 MLC seat and one more ministerial post for their parties. Mukesh Sahni had also demanded reservation for Nishad society in SC or ST category. Jitan Ram Manjhi is demanding reservation in the private sector. But these demands have not been fulfilled so far.
Manjhi had also targeted PM Modi earlier and said that the picture of PM Modi is there in the certificate that is received after taking the corona vaccine, so if someone dies of Covid, then his death certificates should also have the picture of the PM.
Both Manjhi and Sahni were said to be angry and there was speculation in the political circles that both would join the Grand Alliance. But they are now claiming that they will stay with the NDA government. On the other hand, RjD leader Tejashwi Yadav also said that the NDA government will fall in Bihar in two to three months. Since then, more speculations have been made whether Manjhi and Sahni are in touch with Tejashwi Yadav.
