Gopalganj (Bihar): In a bone-chilling incident, three out of four girls died after their mother allegedly threw them in a pond in Bihar's Gopalganj area. The fourth girl somehow was saved and is now being treated at Padrauna Government Hospital in Uttar Pradesh. The incident which took place in Kaulrahi village under Kateya police station area came to light after a passerby heard the cries of a 4-year old girl, Afrin who after being thrown in the pond had caught hold of grass of puddle.

The three deceased have been identified as two-year-old Taiba, 3-year-old Musaiba and 8-year-old Gulabsar. According to the sources, the husband of the woman works in a private company in Gujarat and had left home only eight months ago. The woman had taken the girls out on the pretext of taking them around on the day of Bakir-Eid. As of now, it is not clear why the woman killed the girls.
