Ex-Bihar CM criticises Modi's image on vaccination certificates

Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has suggested that a picture of the president of India or a state chief minister should be printed on vaccination certificates, instead of Prime Minister Modi's image.

Patna:Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has criticized images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Covid vaccination certificates.

Manjhi, the president of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM)'s criticism came in a tweet in Hindi on Monday.

Manjhi also suggested that the photograph of the President or Chief Minister of the states should be printed on vaccination certificates.

The objection of Manjhi has bigger implications in the context of Bihar especially as he is considered very close to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Manjhi fought the 2020 Bihar Assembly election on the seats allocated by JDU and managed to win four of them.

Photograph politics is currently underway in various non-BJP ruled states such as Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, where the chief ministers have claimed that they purchased vaccines from other countries and they should take credit for it, reports said.
